Yes, but this one is different. Express who you are and what you're feeling without people you've never met, or ever want to meet, attacking you because they've got nothing better to do. Share yourself with the world, you never know who you'll reach, who you might impact.
How do you keep out the bad actors?
The world only sees the YIMs which are okayed by real live, nice people - no artificial intelligence programs or mind-warping algorithms that even their creators can't understand. Everyone can give their opinion as to whether a YIM speaks to them or is not for them, but no nastiness seeps through.
You say "change the world". How?
You can have influence far beyond what you thought. Whatever you're going through, you're not alone - others are experiencing the same, and your words & pictures might mean the world to them. Plus, each time you invite a friend, we make a donation on your behalf to Amigos de los Animales, Doctors Without Border, and the Unicef K.I.N.D. Fund - three wonderful charities.
If my YIMs are approved, do only my circle of friends see them or only those people who "pick me"?
No, if what you're sharing is okayed, it's available to anyone and everyone. Also, who wants to worry about attracting "followers"? That's soul-deadening work, and that's not what we're all about.
Do you save what I create?
Yes, this is not only a platform to express and share, it's also an online micro-diary of where you've been and where you're are. All your YIMs are available for only you to see. After more than a decade of the social-media experiment, isn't it about time to spend your time in the moment, without fear or angst, without the tyranny of trolls?
